My Summer

My Summer is a 12x12 original oil painting inspired by Isaiah 30 and painted during a season of deep life changes that left me feeling distracted from myself for a while. Rather than beginning with a blank canvas, I layered this piece over an older composition as a reflection of what healing often looks like — we keep certain parts of who we were, and lovingly release the rest.

This painting became a reminder to return to the things that make you feel alive.

Created with rich layers, warmth, and movement, My Summer is about choosing joy intentionally. It is about believing that the passions, dreams, and desires placed inside of us were never accidental. I believe God gives us these things so we can live fully awake — vibrant, intentional, and deeply connected to what brings life to our souls.

This piece is for the woman reclaiming herself. The woman remembering that she was never truly lost — she simply forgot to care for the little girl inside of her who once felt wonder, freedom, excitement, and lightness so naturally.
